Coordinator, Exchange and Study Abroad

Note: If you and your academic advisor determine it is suitable to study abroad, ensure you are clear on:

• What you have left to complete to fulfill your degree requirements
• Which of those courses should be completed at Acadia and which can be done while studying abroad
•  

Your passport must be valid at least 6 months beyond the date you expect to return to your home country.

1. Create Profile
2. Provide Application Reference Number
3. Download Letter of Support (LOS) from Status Portal and Complete Section 1 & 2 of LOS, then Request Referee to Complete Sections 4a, 4b, & 5.
4. Referee to Submit Completed LOS on Behalf of Candidate
   • Email: admis@acadiau.ca
   • Subject Line: Letter of Support - Outbound Exchange Application
   • Include: Student’s Name, University ID#, & Application Reference Number
5. Complete Outbound Exchange Application Form in Status Portal

1 - 2: Status Portal profiles will be updated with ‘Exchange' tag at least twice weekly (Mondays and Thursdays) for applicants who submit their Application Reference Number by 12:00 pm (noon) on those days during application periods.

3 - 5 | Deadline:

• 1st Round: February 21
• 2nd Round: September 15

• LOS Note: Status Portal Checklist Updated Upon Submission Receipt. Letter of Supports Must be Submitted Directly by Referees; LOS Emailed from Candidate will be Considered Invalid.

1. Attend 'Match Day' Event
2. Review Program Decision Letter in Portal
3. Accept or Decline Nomination Offer
   via Portal

1. Nomination Offers for Host Institution Placements will be Announced In-Person at 'Match Day' Event
2. Candidates will Receive Email Notification of Official Program Decision Letter Within 2 Business Days After 'Match Day'
3. Candidates Must Accept or Decline Nomination Offer by 11:59pm on 'Confirmation Day'; If a Response is Not Officially Submitted, the Offer Will be Forfeited.

Only Candidates with an "Approved" Status Portal Exchange Decision will Gain Access to Nomination Response Form.
