Once students have been accepted onto the programme, they will be emailed the modules open to them and they should email their course choices to AcademicAdministration@qmu.ac.uk. Students will be registered for modules just before arrival at QMU.

Request module descriptors by emailing StudyAbroad@qmu.ac.uk detailing which subject area(s) you are interested in, which level (2/3) and which semester(s) you wish to attend QMU.

Transcript Transfer: Outgoing Acadia students are advised to contact Registry@qmu.ac.uk once their transcript has been released at the end of their exchange, and request a copy of their transcript be sent to Acadia's Registrar's Office (regis@acadiau.ca).
Credit Conversion: 1 Acadia credit is equal to 4 SCOTCAT credits (60 per semester equally about 3 modules)

Do I require a visa?

Yes. Students attending QMU should refer to the Standard Visitor program (www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa) and Student Visa (www.gov.uk/student-visa) for more information.

Canadian passport holders staying for less than six months should apply for an ETA in advance of travelling to the UK. Students who do not hold a Canadian passport should check if the following reference to determine whether they need to apply for a ETA or Visitor Visa (https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa). Students studying in the UK longer than one semester will need a Student Visa.
