FACULTY TESTIMONIAL
To me, participating in international learning opportunities ... "is an opportunity to experience different perspectives, both socially and academically. It’s also a chance to meet new friends, and get involved in extra curricular and community opportunities in a new and exciting environment” My first impression of the partner institution was ... "that Aberystwyth University is surrounded by lovely and varied landscape with a beautiful view of both the town and the sea. The University in known for its diverse and welcoming community located in a historic seaside market town that has a strong Welsh culture. Aber is truly an international institution. Acadia students will benefit by ... "experiencing Welsh culture firsthand, within a friendly and supportive campus community. There are more than 100 student clubs, and the campus has a lively social scene. Studying in Aberystwyth is characterised by flexible, experiential learning in a beautiful environment." My advice to students is ... "explore as much of Wales and the United Kingdom as you possibly can. The history of the region is fascinating and the people are very warm and welcoming. Try to get involved in campus clubs and activities, there is lots going on, both on campus and in the community." |

1 Acadia credit is equal to 2 ECTS Aberystwyth's Credit system: Students are advised to take 60 Aberystwyth (AU) credits per semester and 120 AU credits per academic year. This is equivalent of 30 ECTS for a single semester and 60 ECTS for an academic year. The last two digits of every module equals the Aberystwyth Credit amount (e.g., MC10720). Module ending in ‘20’ equals 20 AU credits or 10 ECTS. One local (Aberystwyth) credit is equal to 0.5 ECTS credits. |
