Modules that are listed as having 00 credits are run over both semesters and would therefore be unsuitable if you are only studying at Aberystwyth for one semester. Where Pre-Requisite courses are listed for a module, you should contact the Aberystwyth Departmental Coordinator to check the module suitability.

Credit Conversion:

1 Acadia credit is equal to 2 ECTS

Aberystwyth's Credit system:

Students are advised to take 60 Aberystwyth (AU) credits per semester and 120 AU credits per academic year. This is equivalent of 30 ECTS for a single semester and 60 ECTS for an academic year.

The last two digits of every module equals the Aberystwyth Credit amount (e.g., MC10720). Module ending in ‘20’ equals 20 AU credits or 10 ECTS. One local (Aberystwyth) credit is equal to 0.5 ECTS credits.
Do I require a visa?

Once you have received an unconditional offer from Aberystwyth, you will then be able to apply for your visa.

Depending on the duration of your stay, you will either need a Visitor Visa or a Student Visa. Specific visa information will be included in your offer letter.
